At Berowra Cricket Club, we are passionate about fostering a love for cricket among girls of all ages and skill levels. Our Girls Cricket program is designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where young girls can learn, play, and grow friendships through sport

Age Groups: We cater to girls aged 5 to 16 years.

Training Sessions: Held weekly in Berowra, our training sessions are structured to provide a balance of skill development and game play.

Competition Games are held on Friday nights (Stage 1) and Saturday mornings (Stage 2). With our Blasters (mixed) held on a Friday afternoon.

Equipment: All necessary equipment is provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and a positive attitude! Join Us Today!

 

All Girls Cricket – Stages 1 Age guide U9 - U12

Stage 1 Girls is a Friday Evening Cricket Competition to be held on Friday Nights from 6pm to approx 8:30pm. Stage `1 cricket is played with a softer rubber ball and not the harder leather ball.

Ages range from 9 – 13 but please reach out and contact us if your child is either side of this age group for more information. For younger girls years 4-8 we have our Blasters program which runs on a Friday afternoon for about 2 hours.

Registrations for season 24/25 are open. Registration will include a BCC playing shirt, training shirt and club cap.

Equipment: The club provides a full kit containing helmets, pads and gloves. Players are welcome to bring their own equipment if they have it. Please note even with the softer ball helmets are compulsory.

Competition Details

Competition to Commence first Friday night 19th October. No Games over the Christmas School Holiday period from December 16th to January 20th. Finishing the same week in March as the regular Juniors Mixed Saturday morning competition.

Volunteers always welcomed.

Girls Cricket – Stages 2 Age guide U12 - U16

Stage 2 Girls is a Saturday morning cricket competition. While most of our participants have previously played a season of Junior cricket, we warmly welcome girls who are new to the sport. Participants should aim to bowl with a straight arm over a distance of 18 metres.

Age Guide        11-15 years

Match Length 2 – 3 hours and the ball used is a 142g leather 

Registrations for season 24/25 are open. Registration will include a BCC playing shirt, training shirt and club cap.

Equipment: The club offers a kit that includes helmets, thigh pads, and gloves. However, players are also encouraged to bring their own equipment for health and safety reasons. Remember that helmets are mandatory Please purchase an abdominal guard ("box"), we can order one for you through Kookaburra and a substantial discount will be applied through our arrangement. Please ask for more details through the Girls Coordinator.

All Cricket Blast

All Cricket Blast is a program for girls and boys aged 5-10, running from October to February.

When: Starting Friday 18th October Friday from 5:15pm to 6:30pm

The program runs for 12 weeks, 8 weeks before Christmas Break and 4 weeks after.

Where: Warrina Street Oval

All girls registered in the program will receive a Woolworths Cricket Blast Pack and a kids' Blast Pass for the cricket season, as part of their registration. This is selected during registration and delivered by Cricket NSW/PlayHQ.

Mixed teams

Girls wanting to play in mixed cricket can play in our Junior Mixed teams on Saturday mornings, and we welcome participation from women and older girls in our Senior teams.
